A fun little exercise that's been floating around the interwebs recently. Basically you chart out a map of people and things that have influenced you artistically so you can refer to it if you ever hit a wall or something. It's quite interesting to see what has influenced other artists..
I may be missing a few major ones.. and the size-influence ratios are prolly off here and there but this pretty much covers it.
and here's a random sketch as it's been ages since any art has been posted here... I should probably invest in a new scanner.. or a new iPhone 4 that can take hdr photos..

Influence map! I remember I had to do that in gr12. I have to add a few new names to my list now.

hey man...its been a while i gotta try one of these out. just started watching flcl, its pretty cool( and strange)

yea flcl is pretty awesome. I'm not as crazy about it now, and there are quite a few flaws; but it was definitely a seminal experience for me.
